Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 15, 2026
Nicholas Raymond, MA, CCC-SLP LLC, doing business as Vista Speech & Swallowing ("we," "us," or "our"), operates this website at vistaspeech.com. This policy explains what information we collect from visitors to the site, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What this policy does and does not cover
This policy applies to the vistaspeech.com website and to any inquiry forms or advertising forms we operate.
This policy does not govern the health information we create and maintain in the course of treating you. Once you become a patient, your protected health information is handled under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and is described in our Notice of Privacy Practices, which we provide at intake and on request.
Please do not send medical details, diagnoses, test results, or any other clinical information through this website, by email, or through an advertising form. Those channels are not secure and are not intended for clinical communication. If you are already a patient, use the client portal. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911.
Information you give us
When you complete a contact form on this site, or a lead form attached to one of our ads on Google or another platform, we collect the information you enter. That typically includes:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Your city or ZIP code
- Anything you choose to write in a message field
We ask only for what we need to return your call and determine whether we are the right practice for you. We do not ask for a diagnosis, a condition, insurance identifiers, or a Social Security number through this website.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the site, certain information is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies:
- Your IP address and general location derived from it
- Your browser type, device type, and operating system
- The pages you view, how long you spend on them, and the links you click
- The website or advertisement that referred you
Analytics and advertising
We use the following third party services on this site:
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the site. Google collects the automatic information described above and provides us with aggregated reports. You can read Google's practices at policies.google.com/privacy and you can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites by installing the browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Google Ads. We advertise through Google. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site, and to report whether an ad led to a call or a form submission. You can control the ads you see, and opt out of personalized advertising, at myadcenter.google.com and at optout.aboutads.info.
Google lead forms. Some of our ads include a form you can complete without leaving Google. When you submit that form, Google passes the information you entered to us and retains a copy for a limited period under its own terms. Google's handling of that data is described at policies.google.com/privacy.
We do not build advertising audiences based on the specific conditions or services a visitor viewed on this site, and we do not share any health information with advertising platforms.
How we use your information
We use the information described above to:
- Respond to your inquiry and schedule an initial conversation or evaluation
- Answer questions about our services, availability, and insurance
- Operate, maintain, and improve the website
- Measure which advertising and search terms bring us inquiries, so that we can spend our advertising budget sensibly
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing purposes.
When we share information
We share information only in these circumstances:
Service providers. We use vendors who process information on our behalf, including our website host, our email provider, our scheduling and practice management software, and the advertising and analytics platforms named above. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or when necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of our patients, our staff, or the public.
Business transfer. If the practice is sold or merged, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
Cookies and your choices
Most browsers let you refuse cookies or delete cookies that have already been set. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the site function. Your browser's help documentation explains how to manage these settings.
If your browser or an extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as a request to opt out of targeted advertising.
How long we keep information
We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you and to maintain a record of our communications, and then for a reasonable period afterward in case you return. Analytics and advertising data are retained according to the settings and default retention periods of the platforms described above. If you become a patient, your clinical record is retained separately under Colorado law and HIPAA, not under this policy.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to receive a copy of it, and to opt out of targeted advertising. Colorado residents have these rights under the Colorado Privacy Act, and we honor them for anyone who asks, regardless of residency.
To make a request, email us at admin@vistaspeech.com. We will verify your identity before acting on a request. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our response, and Colorado residents may contact the Colorado Attorney General's office.
Children
This website is intended for adults. We provide pediatric feeding and swallowing services, and in those cases a parent or guardian contacts us on the child's behalf. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we collect. No website or email system is completely secure, which is why we ask you to keep clinical information out of these channels.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted on the site.
